Pio Pharm Denmark is a newly established fast growing international CMO company specialized in the production of dietary supplements in powder formats. In January 2023, they acquired  an existing manufacturing facility of 12.000 m2 in Hundested, that included a fully integrated manufacturing line for blending, filling and packaging of powders into aluminum cans. Now an advanced new clean room environment has been built, just as state-of-the-art stick and sachet production lines are installed. Their products find their ways to customers mainly in Europe and the Asian market. Pio Pharm Denmark is owned by one of the fastest growing CMOs of Korea and by the Danish company Denps specialized in the sale and sourcing of dietary supplements and functional foods with a focus on probiotics.

The role

As part of the further growth, Pio Pharm Denmark now wishes to expand the team with a Supply Chain Manager. You will be responsible for managing the end-to-end supply chain process, from sourcing raw materials to delivering finished products to customers.  As this is a new role, the initial focus will be on building the needed supplier base for raw materials, packaging and logistic services. You will report to the Head of Production and collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure timely delivery, and cost-effective procurement.  The key tasks include:

• Research, identify, evaluate and select new suppliers in Europe and negotiate contracts (prices & commercial terms)
• Manage and develop strong sustainable relations with new and existing suppliers and logistic partners
• Support Production on inventory management and provide input to production schedule for raw material, packaging and outbound logistics
• Support Quality in preparing required supplier documentation needed for approvals and business continuity
• Monitor and analyze historical data, market trends and customer insight to anticipate changes and address challenges

You

To be successful in this new job you have minimum 5 years’ experience of a supply chain role and a proven track record in supplier sourcing & management preferrable from a production environment. Besides experience with import/export of ingredients, packaging and final products, experience from Food, Dietary Supplements, Pharma or related is preferred. Familiarity with regulatory requirements is an advantage. Your experience and personality are more important than your educational background.

You are extrovert, proactive and can be humble if appropriate as well. You possess strong communication skills while you enjoy reaching out to and negotiating with a broad variety of European suppliers striving for win/win. With your international mindset and perhaps experience/knowledge of Asian cultures, you adapt easily to your surroundings.

You thrive in a changing environment and you are able to handle a complex agenda with many stakeholders. As a person you are known as a strong relation builder, a cooperative person, who is grounded and well balanced. You thrive working in a small and growing team with the backup of the Korean mother/holding company.

Finally, you master English fluently both orally and written, some Danish is preferred.  You may expect no more than 30 days travelling in Europe yearly.
